Celebrating Scott + Matt’s wedding was truly joyful. They’ve been engaged for nearly two years, waiting for a break in their residency schedules to kick off their marriage with friends and family in Scott’s hometown of Chicago. They are an incredibly organized pair, who are committed to the service of others. They surround themselves with the best of the best every day, and it was a privilege to coordinate their spectacular Chicago wedding.
Mindy and Jared are a brilliant, fiercely loyal, and kind pair who were an absolute joy to work with. They got engaged over two years ago, and booked Gallery 1028, one of Calihan Catering’s venues, around that time. They then took a break from planning to support a move to Boston for Jared’s graduate school, and to focus on life on the East Coast. But it was clear when I met them that these two have an unshakable bond, based on love and mutual respect, for each other and for each other’s families and traditions.
Cindi + Paul met years ago but decided to go their separate ways. They carried on with their lives for a while until Cindi once again declared her feelings for Paul, and within a matter of months, they knew it was forever.
On November 24, 2018, these two tied the knot in Meghan’s hometown, just southwest of Chicago, at the church she grew up in. Her mom walked her down the aisle, and their ceremony was moving and sweet. They had a fun bubble exit from the church and then headed downtown to capture some gorgeous skyline photos, taken by the husband and wife team behind Metts Photo.
Meghan and I have been friends since 2009, and what a ride it’s been. We met through singing - fellow first Sopranos in the Cornell University Chorus - and I knew we’d be forever friends. Meghan is fiercely determined, compassionate, brilliant, kind, and absolutely silly. She makes every room brighter with her strong sense of self and stunning smile. Steven, her beau, matches her on every dimension. He is not capable of doing anything with less that 110% effort and passion, and he can make any moment a party with his wit, charm, and liveliness.
Spring is a time of change, of emerging from the dark winter and embracing life and growth in longer days. This wedding inspiration features the side of springtime that is: colorful flowers struggling to burst through muddy grass, butterflies breaking free and setting flight, golden sunlight striking through the wintry sky, and a dance between dark and light.
Parker + Diana found love in a few pairs of hiking boots. These two met in Oakland, CA and discovered their shared affinity for the outdoors. They thrive in each other’s company, and find quiet in long hikes together. On this snowy December day, wedding planner Olivia Nicoletti and designer Maureen Higgins brought them down to sea level for a moment to showcase their love.
While working for Chic Weddings & Events in Washington, DC, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Ashley & Andrew. Ashley, a news anchor, and Andrew, a lawyer, are an absolutely stunning couple, inside and out.
I worked with J&E for over a year, crafting their perfect wedding. They wanted to get married in the hazy Virginia summer and most importantly, they wanted a venue that could accommodate all guests overnight.
