Nikki + Knight: Classic, Glimmering, Meaningful Chicago Wedding

Nikki & Knight were such a sweet couple to work with! They met at Kenyon College in Ohio, and although they didn't start dating until after they graduated, they built an incredible friendship, which created an amazing foundation for their love story. In every meeting we had, you could tell they loved being together and enjoyed each other’s company. Nikki grew up in the northern suburbs and although they currently live in Boston, they knew they wanted to host their special day in Chicago. They decided on a crisp fall day at Bridgeport Art Center and the day was as special as the two of them!

The day started off with the ladies getting ready at The Royal Sonesta Downtown. Nikki's hairstylists from Pascal did her hair for her bat mitzvah and was able to give her a stunning wedding style a decade plus later. Magda Rod Makeup complemented everyone’s natural beauty. While the ladies were getting glammed up, the gents had some down time and went to brunch at Cindy's Rooftop before they headed back to the Royal Sonesta to get ready.

Nikki & Knight opted for a first look. Abbie Christine Photography positioned them tucked away in a private area off the Riverwalk. Although they had a small audience, it was such a special moment for the two of them. Their wedding party joined them on the Riverwalk, and they captured stunning photos of the Chicago Skyline.

Next stop was Bridgeport Art Center. As guests arrived at BAC, they were greeted with champagne on their way up to the Skyline Loft. Before the ceremony, the couple participated in a traditional ketubah ceremony with their closest family members. Next was the wedding ceremony officiated by Rabbi Jacob Leizman. Both sets of parents and the couple stood under the stunning chuppah designed by Yanni Designs.

Venue Logic provided cocktails, and Entertaining Company provided the most amazing hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour and a delicious dinner. Trevor from Total Harmony Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night.
