Anisha + Nick: Bright, Joyful, Fall Chicago Wedding

Anisha + Nick met while they were both students at the University of Illinois and had been dating for years. They had a small intimate ceremony in 2021 but threw not one, but two big celebrations on their one-year anniversary on November 12, 2022. The couple wanted to incorporate both Anisha + Nick's heritage by having Hindu and Christian ceremonies. The day had two ceremonies, two cocktail hours, two outfit changes, and one heck of a celebration.

Congratulations, Anisha + Nick! - Kirsten

The day started at the Kimpton Gray where both Anisha + Nick got ready with their respective wedding party members. Refined Beauty provided beauty services to all of the ladies.

Once hair and makeup were complete, it was time for everyone to get in their saris. Katy from Kerri Carlquist Photography brought not only her talent but also such a positive energy to get the day started.

The couple had their first look on the marble stairs of the Kimpton Gray and then headed outside on a brisk November day.

Anisha + Nick and their crew were troupers, but it was well worth it for the photos that Katy was able to capture. After taking photos downtown, everyone headed to Lacuna Lofts where both ceremonies were held.

The Hindu ceremony was the first ceremony of the day, which was performed by Anisha's family's priest. Farmdog Flowers provided a beautiful hanging installation and added greenery to the mandap to create a one-of-a-kind look.

Once the Hindu ceremony was complete, guests transitioned across the hall to the first cocktail hour while Anisha, Nick, and their wedding party changed into their second outfits. Anisha and Nick had the cutest first look prior to the second ceremony.

Nick's family's pastor performed the Christian ceremony. Anisha was walked down the aisle by her brother with her two nephews leading the way. They wrote their own vows and everyone celebrated for the second time that day.

Once the second ceremony concluded guests moved back over to Lacuna's Magik Street space while Anisha, Nick, and their wedding party headed to Lacuna Loft's rooftop to capture some breathtaking photos with the Chicago skyline in the background.

After two ceremonies and two cocktail hours, it was time for the reception. They had an amazing Mexican and Indian buffet for dinner that guests loved. Bluewater Kings provided the music all night that kept everyone on their feet.

Congrats to these two lovebirds, thanks for throwing not one but two celebrations for us to be a part of.
