Joely + Nick: Timeless, Chic, Bright Chicago Wedding

I started working with Joely + Nick in the summer of 2021, and from the beginning, they knew that they wanted a classic Chicago wedding that also catered to the needs of their guests. We landed on the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, a historic venue situated right on Michigan Avenue, across the street from Chicago’s famous Millenium Park. Guests stayed at the hotel, walked just a few steps to their rehearsal dinner, and enjoyed the evening’s festivities on the hotel’s 8th floor. We designed a classic color palette that was modern but still timeless, capturing the theme of their wedding day. Oh, and the stationery! Nicole from Emery Ann Design pulled inspiration straight from the venue for a seamless design experience.

On a personal note, I felt right at home with these two (and Joely’s amazing mom and planning partner, Crystal!), and it was an absolute joy to be part of their planning and wedding day. They lit up the night with their happiness and every detail was just perfect.

So, so happy for Mr. & Mrs. Boskovich! - Olivia

The ladies and gents all got ready in the beautiful Chicago Athletic Association Hotel rooms, just floors away from each other.  The Hannah Elisabeth Beauty team was on-site for hair and makeup and Katie Kett Photography snapped some detail shots while the girls finished up.  The stationery was created by Nicole from Emery Ann Design, and she pulled in the architecture and the stained glass window pattern from the Windy City Ballroom onto the invites.  So gorgeous!

Joely pulled on her chic Jenny Yoo gown and was able to have a few special moments with her mom, sister, and dad, sharing sentimental gifts.

After that, Nick got a head start to the Art Institute gardens to prepare to see his bride for the first time. Joely arrived soon after where they shared a sweet first look and intimate vow reading.

The wedding party met up with them and snapped a few photos in the lush Art Institute Gardens.

Meanwhile, the hotel and the incredibly talented Vale of Enna put the finishing touches on their ceremony decor in the Madison Ballroom.  The bride loves candles, and the decor created a dreamy, cozy atmosphere for the two to wed.

Joely + Nick were married by Jill Brown of Chicago Choice Ceremonies and it was deeply personal and warm. The bride and groom’s moms each read during the ceremony, which was such a meaningful touch.

Guests moved down the hall to cocktail hour while the set-up team put the finishing touches on the Windy City Ballroom for the reception.  Vale of Enna’s floral, complemented by Emery Ann Design’s stationery and the rental chairs and chargers from Tablescapes were all lovingly curated.

Guests were seated and were welcomed by lead singer and emcee, Brooke of Brooke & The Nice Things. The wedding party entered in a conga line (LOL), which was hilarious and wonderful followed shortly thereafter by the new Mr. & Mrs. Boskovich!  The rest of the evening was filled with joyful speeches, a stunning cake cutting, and an absolutely packed dance floor.  It was memorable, and oh-so-happy.

Congrats to the Boskos!
