AJ + Mitch: Intentional, Fun, Lively Chicago
AJ & Mitch wanted their day to be authentic and represent their relationship and love for each other, and in every aspect, it did! It was a beautiful June 15th day full of sunshine. They decided to get married at Artifact Events because it is in the same neighborhood where they live. They got ready together, had Mitch’s cousin marry them, and their pup Milo even made an appearance at the ceremony! It was such an honor to partner with these two to create the wedding of their dreams.
Cheers to AJ & Mitch! - Kirsten

AJ & Mitch along with their wedding party got ready in the loft of Artifact Events. It was a calming and relaxed environment! Drinks were flowing and everyone was having a great time! They decided to take most of their photos before the ceremony, so they were able to spend the cocktail hour with their favorite people.
As guests entered Artifact Events they were greeted with champagne and were serenaded by Solaria Strings. Guests passed by a table full of photos of AJ & Mitch’s adventures they have had throughout the years. The ceremony was held in the south courtyard of Artifact Events and their wedding party included their siblings and closest friends. They shared personal vows which were intentional, sentimental, and beautiful.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktails, lovely string music, and the photo booth. AJ & Mitch wanted to ensure their guests were comfortable and engaged throughout the entire evening.
Once cocktail hour ended, guests transitioned to the dinner space. Studio Poppy created beautiful floral centerpieces, and Hearty Boys provided a delicious dinner.
Toasts were given by Mitch’s best woman and AJ’s best man. Both AJ and Mitch had special dances with their mothers. The real surprise for guests was the drag performance after dinner. It was the highlight of the evening and so much fun! AJ and Mitch even joined at the end of the performance with their choreographed dance.
Guests danced the night away and enjoyed dessert from Nothing Bundt Cakes and late-night pizza.
I hope your first year of marriage has been as memorable and fun as your wedding day!
XOXO Kirsten!
