Where do I even begin with Tess + Alex’s unreal wedding?! It was an absolute honor to be trusted with this lovely couple’s wedding day - they came to me brimming with ideas and wanted their day to feel unique and extremely thoughtful. Every guest was considered and in doing so, they dreamed up a wedding that was not only special to them but also wowed their guests. We planned a fully vegetarian menu with the incredible Blue Plate, and designed a dreamy summer ambiance at Bridgeport Art Center with MDM and Thistle & Plume. Then, the couple worked closely with the incredible BKO from Beatmix to curate a truly unique playlist that their guests could NOT get enough of. Tess + Alex’s wedding day was really, really magical - it’s honestly hard to describe the fizzy air surrounding us all on their wedding day.

The bride started her day with her favorite people in a gorgeous suite at The Pendry Hotel with hair styling and makeup provided by the talented Hair by Ramsay and Christina Dalton Makeup. The bride was absolutely dewy and glowing and the girls ended up having a really fun dance party in the suite before Tess got dressed!

The bride shared a teary first look with her dad, with her mom and sister looking on.

Meanwhile, Alex was dressed and ready to see his bride. He met her in a quiet spot of the Pendry to share a moment together before meeting their families.

The stunning wedding party (THE DRESSES!!) joined the happy couple at the Board of Trade on a perfect summer day in Chicago. Tess opted to be the only one with a bouquet - a really fun new trend we’re seeing!

While the wedding party spent some time together, Blue Plate, MDM, and Thistle & Plume were putting the finishing touches on T+A’s ceremony at the Bridgeport Art Center’s Skyline Loft. The wood space truly glowed and the rattan shades were everything!!!

When the family arrived, they were greeted with a glass of bubbly in the elevator and led to an airy room for a meaningful ketubah signing.

Once all of their guests were seated in the sun-drenched room, the bride walked down the aisle and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they were married under their chuppah.

After the ceremony was over, guests were greeted with snacks and drinks and an unbelievable polaroid wall that served as their seating chart. The couple lovingly gathered images of every couple in attendance and the generous Nora O’Brien Studio printed them as escort cards for guests to keep.

During cocktail hour, we flipped the Skyline Loft into a bright, colorful space for dinner and dancing. The small printed details from Nora O’Brien Studio really tied the space together.

T+A opted for a traditional East Coast Style wedding where their guests danced between courses and it created such a fun energy in the room! But perhaps the highlight is when Alex and his friends surprised his new wife with a live performance of one of her favorite Taylor Swift songs. The room erupted!

There was truly something magical in the air at Tess + Alex’s wedding and it’s one that will stick in my heart forever. Congrats, you two. Xo
