Imagine combining an incredible dinner party with the most fun night out in Chicago and you’ll be transported to Doni + Kevin’s wedding day! What made their wedding so special wasn't just the incredible design or the showstopping entertainment—it was how authentically Doni + Kevin celebrated their story. It was vibrant, unapologetically fun, filled with so much love and a REALLY good time!

Building their day was a labor of love - with time spent pouring over fab details and dreaming up the best possible day for them and their guests. Working with them was beyond fun and getting to witness their vision come together was an absolute dream.

Doni + Kevin spent their morning getting ready with their people (& their pup!) at their home, relaxing, chatting over breakfast and drinks, and the MOB even did some tarot card readings. What a truly special and chill way to start an amazing day!

The bride, alongside Steracle Press, designed all of the stationery and paper goods for the day and totally crushed it. Gorgeous! The amazing Ashlyn Henry and Jenny from Para Siempre Co. were there to capture it all flawlessly.

Breaking from tradition, the bride wore a breathtaking floral dress, from Selkie, that stole the show. Splashed with warm fall tones and antique florals, the gown was a refreshing, romantic departure from classic white—perfectly matching her bold personality and the joyful spirit of the day.

The couple shared their first look in the courtyard of their home with their sweet pup and then made their way to Wicker Park for some stunning portraits.

The ceremony was officiated by Doni’s uncle, and incorporated a few Jewish traditions to honor that part of their lives. And of course, their pup had to join for one more appearance before the couple officially tied the knot. You could feel the love radiating throughout the room as they celebrated the start of their next chapter.

And MARRIED! Now on to party time!

Jen from The Local Petaler executed the most glowing design for both the ceremony and party to follow. The couple wanted an evening that felt non-traditional, cozy and filled with fun. I’d say that was absolutely fulfilled!

From the moment guests arrived in the rooftop space, the atmosphere felt intimate and alive. Warm, ambient lighting—from delicate string lights to flickering taper candles—bathed the space in a rich golden glow. It set the perfect mood: cozy, inviting, and ready for a celebration.

The dinner party portion of the evening commenced as guests enjoyed a fabulous dinner, some very heartfelt speeches from family and the couple’s first dance as husband + wife.

Then the party really kicked off with a high-energy set from DJ Dominic, from Gold Noise DJs, who kept the dance floor packed and bumping all evening.

The highlight of the night arrived when Doni + her Mom shared a choreographed dance that featured a local drag icon, Allura The Doll, delivering a fabulous, high-energy performance that had the entire room singing, cheering, and dancing along. What a fun surprise for guests!
