Lisa + Eli: Lush, Autumnal, and Touching Late Fall Chicago Wedding

They say it’s good luck when it rains on your wedding day. For Lisa + Eli, they didn’t need any more luck, they had already found each other, the rain was just a bonus for their incredible, cozy, and truly stunning day last November. Dreaming up the many details of their wedding alongside them was a privilege. They have impeccable style, and not to mention, they are wildly fun, kind, and chic - the kind of couple you see out to dinner at a great restaurant who look like they’re having the best time ever, and you really want to be friends with them. They’re THAT cool, and boy did their wedding show off all those sides of them.

Lisa’s love of florals and Eli’s expertise in lighting design, paired with Brian Kempen from Life in Bloom’s incredible eye made for the perfect storm of design passion that built the day. Captured by the always amazing Emily Williams, and sealed with an ECBG kiss of cake, it was a dream through and through.

Cheer’s to you, Lisa + Eli! Happy One Year Anniversary, and I hope marriage has been nothing but a fun dance in the rain for you both 🖤

Lisa + Eli spent their morning getting ready with their people at The Emily Hotel, chatting over breakfast, getting glam, and getting excited for the day ahead. Emily Williams joined to capture the day (as she does so well so often for OFW couples), and started with a beautiful flatlay of details showing off the intricate Bayview Printing Co invitation suite.

Lisa got ready with the help of her mother and sister, and Eli with his friends, with finishing touches by his mom, and some pieces owned by his late father to carry with him through the day. Lisa’s nails even sported an old english “E” - the details always making our hearts swell a little bit.

The two shared a sweet first look in Selva, the rooftop space in the hotel, and the perfect vibe to kick off this couple’s big day

As the rain began to fall, everyone quickly dashed to Union Station, where their bridal party turned everything up a notch with their - talk about style, this group is dripping with it!

A moment for L+E’s chic station moment!

Back at Morgans on Fulton, we were set for a ceremony just as the sun went down. A cozy glass rooftop layered with rugs and drenched in fall blooms and greenery created by Life in Bloom. We could have lived in it if they let us!

The ceremony was officiated by Lisa’s uncle, and not a dry eye was in the house as they were pronounced husband and wife.

While everyone enjoyed a cocktail or two in the Loft below, a flip took place to turn the Penthouse into a jaw dropping reception that was the perfect balance between vintage flare and modern amenities.

Tables draped in velvet filled the room with candlelight, the ceremony backdrop served as a sweetheart table frame, and the room glittered with the rain that fell on the glass roof, reflecting off of the fringed and crystal chandeliers that surrounded the space.

Of course, an ECBG cutting cake was set perfectly in the middle waiting for the couple to share soon after. Perfection!

Lisa + Eli made their entrance as newlyweds, share a sweet dessert moment to kick things off, and enjoyed speeches by parents and loved ones before sharing special dances surrounded by so much love it filled the room ten times over.

DJ Max Davis let it rip for the rest of the night and the dance floor was full until the very end (which we never wanted to come)!

Congratulations, L+E! It was such a joy to create this day with you, and wishing you all the love and happiness beyond your first year of marriage!
