Char + Sam: Curated, Family-oriented, FUN Spring Wedding

For over a year, I worked closely with Char + Sam—the incredible bride and groom—and Char’s parents to design a truly spectacular wedding for the loveliest couple. Everyone came to the table overflowing with ideas to make Char + Sam’s wedding unique, with a shared goal of curating every detail and thoughtfully considering the guest experience at every step. This vision resulted in a stunning ceremony setup, featuring crystal lights over the aisle and real trees to bring the outdoors in. When guests reentered for the reception, the aisle had been transformed into the head table, with candlelight glowing in every corner of the room. We also surprised guests with a big band reveal behind a curtain at the conclusion of dinner, and the band absolutely blew everyone away. It was truly an epic wedding for one of the best couples I know!

Nikki + Knight: Classic, Glimmering, Meaningful Chicago Wedding

Nikki & Knight were such a sweet couple to work with. They met at Kenyon College in Ohio, and although they didn't start dating until after they graduated, they built an incredible friendship, which created an amazing foundation for their love story. In every meeting we had, you could tell they loved being together and enjoyed each other’s company. Nikki grew up in the northern suburbs and although they currently live in Boston, they knew they wanted to host their special day in Chicago. They decided on a crisp fall day at Bridgeport Art Center and the day was as special as the two of them!

Alyssa + Mikey - Romantic, Vampey, Opulent Autumn Wedding

Getting to work in my home town of Geneva, Illinois was enough of a stroke of luck, but meeting Alyssa, Mikey, Alyssa’s mom Stacy, and planning their incredible wedding was a true dream. Stacy lives next door to my mother in law, which is how we were connected in the beginning, but after meeting them for the first time, I knew they were my kind of people. The deep and decadent vision they had for Alyssa and Mikey’s day drew me in within a minute, and we spent the next year dreaming up every little detail together. As high school sweethearts - who were together for 10 years before they wed - Alyssa + Mikey knew each other, and themselves, better than anyone, and it showed in all the beautiful moments of their day.

The all start vendor team created another world at The Herrington Inn, one that we wanted to celebrate this sweet couple in forever! The Fox River provided the perfect backdrop for dripping florals, Victorian flair, and gilded moments that specked this sparkling evening. Designing the day alongside everyone was incredible, and I owe a special thanks to our Katie Fortney for coordinating the day perfectly while I started my maternity leave with my baby boy born only 3 weeks before. A team effort all around, and a stunning result.
