Megan + Sam - Joyful, Colorful, Quintessential Summer Wedding

Megan and Sam met through mutual friends a few years ago and it was an instant connection. They both are kind, easy going and FUN, and that was exactly what their wedding represented. They had a big wedding party and a big wedding, and you could feel the immense love for them in the room. They were one of the easiest couples to celebrate and I am so glad I was able to be a part of their special day!

Megan and Sam had the perfect sunny summer wedding in July. It started off with Megan getting ready with her ladies in her childhood home in Arlington Heights. One of the sweetest moments of the day was Megan's mom helping her get into her dress in the room she spent so much time in when she was younger.

While the ladies were getting glammed up by Emily Rae Hair and Alyssa Diana Makeup, Sam and his gents were getting ready at the Renaissance Schaumburg. They used Windy City Trolley to transport everyone to St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, where the ceremony was held.

It was extremely important for Megan and Sam to incorporate both Megan's Catholic faith and Sam's Jewish faith. They had a rabbi and a priest conduct the ceremony, incorporating traditions from both faiths. Each of their siblings read one of the 7 blessings, Megan and her mom visited Mary, and Sam broke the glass at the end of the ceremony. It was so special watching them create a ceremony truly unique to them.

Once the ceremony was over, they went to North School Park down the street and took photos with their wedding party, family, and the cutest pup! Then it was off to Goebbert's Farm in Pingree Grove for the reception!

When they arrived at Goebbert's Farm in Pingree Grove, Tyrie Mehaffey Photography captured the cutest photos of Megan and Sam out in the orchard. It was then off to the outdoor cocktail hour and dinner.

They danced the night away, courtesy of Funktastic Productions opening the dance floor with the hora and ending the night with Milk House Ice Cream truck and Fireworks. It truly was the most quintessential summer wedding and we loved being able to share it with them!

Congrats Megan and Sam, I hope this first year of marriage was as colorful and joyful as your wedding day!
