Alex + Blaise: Timeless, Lush, and Dashing Chicago Wedding

There’s something special about planning a wedding for people who are already part of your history and life. Blaise’s parents introduced my parents to each other at Glasscotts Bar in the 80’s, so really without them I wouldn’t have been here, planning his and Alex’s incredible wedding at all! Funny how life always brings us back together - like a million little invisible strings throughout our daily lives. This was also the case with Alex + Blaise. Neighbors in Lincoln Park during Covid, it was a pickup softball game that introduced them to each other (and spoiler, where they would share their first look as bride + groom) and they have been together ever since.

Alex + Blaise’s wedding was so unique, so FUN, to plan. Their flair for finding the best vibes possible, their attention to detail, and love of great food and drinks was the perfect combo that created their incredible wedding day that featured so many amazing vendors that came in internationally and locally to build the fabulous, classic, Chicago-centric experience that their guests were enveloped in from the moment they received their invitations in the mail. Who wouldn’t want to spend a Saturday in the city, playing poker, eating italian, and dancing the night away under a Tiffany glass dome? Truly iconic.

Cheers to you, Mr. + Mrs. Davis! For richer, for poorer, and all the fun moments in between - I hope they’re all perfect as your day was.

Annie + Matt: Radiant, Bloomy, and Charming Summer City Wedding

Annie + Matt - Radiant, Bloomy, and Charming Summer City Wedding

Annie + Matt are rays of pure sunshine not only for each other, but everyone they meet. When they came to me looking for the perfect indoor/outdoor late summer wedding space and vibe, I knew immediately it was going to be such a fun day already. A+M met at work (at the company they still work at!) and have since spent their time on the west coast frequenting cool cocktail bars and traveling the world. As New Yorkers, they were excited to make their wedding day dreams come true in Chicago, whose summers are the sweetest, and make a return to Annie’s home state.

We found the perfect marrying of everything they wanted in The Ivy Room, and built a big, bright, beautiful world for them with nods to Annie’s Indian culture, personal touches galore, and a rocking band that brought us all the way to the end of the night, sealed with a champagne and Lou Malnati’s kiss (could you want anything more?). We had the best time planning each moment via Zoom and when they could pop into town. Everything came together in such a fun way!

Congratulations, A+M! Your day was one filled with such laughter and light!

Char + Sam: Curated, Family-oriented, FUN Spring Wedding

For over a year, I worked closely with Char + Sam—the incredible bride and groom—and Char’s parents to design a truly spectacular wedding for the loveliest couple. Everyone came to the table overflowing with ideas to make Char + Sam’s wedding unique, with a shared goal of curating every detail and thoughtfully considering the guest experience at every step. This vision resulted in a stunning ceremony setup, featuring crystal lights over the aisle and real trees to bring the outdoors in. When guests reentered for the reception, the aisle had been transformed into the head table, with candlelight glowing in every corner of the room. We also surprised guests with a big band reveal behind a curtain at the conclusion of dinner, and the band absolutely blew everyone away. It was truly an epic wedding for one of the best couples I know!

Can’t believe it’s been a YEAR since this gorgeous day. Happy anniversary, you two! Xo Olivia
